THE NAVIGATION BRIDGE
A new role for a problem families have been navigating alone for too long.
When a parent gets a diagnosis. When a fall changes everything. When hospice is suggested and nobody knows what comes next. A Family Care Consultant walks beside you through all of it — at 2 AM, in the hospital hallway, in the kitchen when nobody knows what to say.

The American healthcare system was not built to slow down and explain.
Doctors have 12 minutes per appointment.
Hospital social workers are overwhelmed and only available inside the facility.
Geriatric care managers are clinical and expensive.
Lawyers handle documents but not the family.
Therapists work on emotion but not logistics.
That bridge is what a Family Care Consultant does.
We look at your specific family situation and tell you what to focus on first, second, and third.
We translate medical, legal, and financial jargon into plain language you can act on.
We give you the exact words for the conversations you've been avoiding (the doctor, the sibling, the parent who won't sign the POA).
We know which Medicare benefits, hospice options, facility certifications, and free programs actually apply to your situation.
When something hits and you have hours to make a decision, we cut through the fog with you.
We teach you what no one else has time to teach you, so you don't have to relearn it from scratch with the next family member.
A Family Care Consultant is not a therapist, attorney, financial advisor, physician, or case manager. We do not provide medical, legal, or financial advice. We work alongside your professional team - not in place of them. What we provide is education, navigation, and clarity. The decisions remain yours.

“Across every role, every credential, every kitchen table — the same six words followed me: 'I wish someone would have told me sooner.'
That is why this role exists. So families do not have to say that sentence anymore.”
When you hit the "I don't know what to do next" wall, you need an expert in the room.
This session is designed for families facing the exact moments when the guesswork becomes too heavy and the systemic gaps become too wide to navigate alone.
Families noticing the first signs of decline and wondering if they're overreacting.
Adult children who just got "the call" and don't know what comes next.
Spouses of a newly-diagnosed loved one trying to chart a path forward.
Families who just heard the word "hospice" and need someone to translate.

Attorney Time: $300+ per hour
Geriatric Care Manager: $150-$200 per hour
Missed Legal Window: $3,000-$5,000 in guardianship court
Bad ER Visit: Thousands in hidden costs and untreated trauma
Wrong Discharge Decision: Thousands inout-of-pocket costs from observation vs.inpatient miscoding
This is the cheapest decision you will make in your entire caregiving journey. And it's the one that prevents most of the others from getting expensive.
The questions families ask before they say yes.
A Geriatric Care Manager is typically a licensed clinician (RN or social worker) who does hands-on case management — coordinating care, attending appointments, and managing providers for you over weeks or months at $150-$250 per hour. A Family Care Navigation Session is educational. We help you understand your situation, translate the jargon, and give you the words and the plan to navigate it yourself. Different service, different price, different moment in the journey. If you need ongoing in-home case coordination, a Geriatric Care Manager is the right call. If you need clarity you can act on this week, that's what we do — and we're often the right first call before you know which path you need.
No. Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance do not cover education or navigation services from a Family Care Consultant. The $197 is paid directly. We kept it flat-rate and accessible on purpose — most of the families we serve are already stretched thin, and the goal is for this to be the one expense that prevents the bigger ones (attorney hours, guardianship court, avoidable ER visits) from getting expensive later.
Most are. After 15 years inside hospice, skilled nursing, social work, and grief work, very little surprises me. Multiple parents declining at the same time. A sibling who refuses to engage. A loved one who won't accept care. A diagnosis nobody will fully explain. A spouse already in crisis while you're trying to plan. We start the session by mapping what's actually going on, then we focus on the next 1-3 things that matter most right now. You will leave with a plan, even if the situation stays complicated.
After the 14 days, you can book another session anytime a new decision point comes up. Most families find one session gives them what they need to navigate the next 30-90 days. Your personalized action plan is delivered within 24 hours of our call and it's yours to keep — share it with siblings, reference it during appointments, bring it back the next time something shifts. The work belongs to you after we finish.
One 45-minute live session. One written Care Plan delivered within 24 hours. A 14-day email follow-up window for questions about your Care Plan. That is the complete scope of the session fee. Additional navigation or research is available through subsequent bookings.
Limited to 4 sessions per week so I can give every family the attention they deserve.
